Masterclass & Cocktail Soirée

Hone your skills and socialise with fellow members in the heart of Madrid at the historic Club de Tenis Chamartin
Our Madrid Chapter is hosting a fun and challenging masterclass, ending with some short-form competitive tennis on red clay. The evening will be rounded off with old and new members toasting cocktails on the terrace with Chamartin’s members.
So dig out those clay court treads, elegant threads for the post training cocktail and read on:


So what’s the fun stuff?
Location: Club de Tenis Chamartin, Madrid, Spain.
Dates: Friday, 24th of September, 2021.
Timing: The tennis will begin at 5pm and finish at 8pm. There will be enough time to shower and change into cocktail attire for drinks at 8:30pm.
Tennis and Format: The All Court Tennis Club has three courts for us to run you through your paces with drills and instruction from our Madrid Chapter Ambassador, Francisco (“Pato”) Clavet and his team. Play will finish with short-form doubles and tie-break tens for those still standing.
Questions to ask the Events Director: Why not ask Pato over an Agua de Valencia about that 2-4 head-to-head with Andre Agassi.
Ticket Price: This one is on the club and the event is complimentary. We ask that all members attending do their very best to sign up and bring a non-member. Women members and non-members are most welcome.

Madrid is a culinary, bar-hopping, cultural delight, with many of the finest dining experiences in Europe, as well as housing the Prado Museum, considered one of the leading classical art museums.
You could also catch the world-famous flamenco dancer Sara Baras in her show Sombras (Shadows) performing that September period at the Teatro Rialto. Ms Baras has performed this show on leading stages such as the Royal Albert Hall in London, Sydney Opera House, Oktyabrskiy Grand Hall in Saint Petersburg, New York City Center and Shanghai Grand Theatre, and is bringing it home to Madrid.
The Clube de Tenis Chamartin is the most central private members racquets club in Madrid and one of the oldest, having been founded in 1966. It was the host to many premier tournaments including the “Primer Gran Prix de Madrid” from 1991 – 1993, where our very own ambassador competed, along with the best players in the world word at the time such as Boris Becker, John McEnroe, Ivan Lendl and Stefan Edberg.
