Sky Group has inked new five-year partnerships with ATP and WTA Tours, promising a continuous year-round tennis experience for fans across Sky Sports platforms. The deal, commencing in 2024, covers more than 80 tournaments and 4,000 matches, including prestigious events like the Nitto ATP Finals and WTA Finals, ATP Masters 1000, and WTA 1000 events. Sky aims to create a comprehensive tennis hub, showcasing top players, both established and rising stars, via its extensive coverage on Sky, NOW, and WOW. The commitment from both ATP Media and WTA Ventures signals an exciting chapter for tennis in the markets covered by Sky.
The coverage will be led by a team of experts, including Gigi Salmon, Tim Henman, Laura Robson, and Jonathan Overend. CEO Stephen van Rooyen expressed enthusiasm for elevating both male and female tennis stars, echoing ATP Media and WTA Ventures’ optimism for an enhanced tennis experience. Live tennis will be accessible via Sky Sports, while non-subscribers can opt for a NOW Sports Monthly membership for selected highlights.
Mark Webster, CEO of ATP Media, said “We are extremely excited by the commitment we are seeing from Sky to both men’s and women’s tennis. ATP Media prides itself on producing and delivering the huge amount of world class content generated on the ATP Tour and the three Sky entities have shown themselves to be the perfect partners to provide this content to our many tennis fans. We share many of the same values, striving for innovation and excellence, and we hope this is just the start of an amazing new chapter for tennis in these Sky markets.”
